Exploring the dynamics and boundaries between pop, spoken word, experimental and electronic music, Céline Gillain’s Kiosk radio show is quite the trip. Being an artist and pop musician from Liège who lives and works in Brussels, her work is a hybrid mix of feminist sci-fi, pitch-black humour and storytelling with a a remarkably elegant way of broaching societal topics through her parallel universe. In Relief she exhibits her DJ skills, with no musical boundaries whatsoever, effortlessly moving from slow-going ambient to dubby reggae to 3am Detroit house, shifting tempos and vibes to one tasty whole as if they were eggs, oil and lemon juice.
