In western Europe, club culture has embraced queer identities more than ever. The legacy of the LGBTQ+ community in today’s music scene is fully acknowledged and collaborations between queer collectives and mainstream venues/institutions are becoming commonplace. 

But how do queer promoters navigate today’s music industry? What are their struggles? Where is the political battle located when there is a growing mainstream acceptance? How do they conciliate their need for economic sustainability with their political engagement?
