Julien Gathy alias Umbra is a Brussels based artist who produces frenetic yet refined and emotive electronic tracks. His signature palette gathers melancholy and tension with a DIY approach, sampling and mixing live sounding beats and electronic percussions.
His obsession with beats is perfectly crystallized on his first EP release « And We Finally Heard Them Singing », the first release on Magma Records. A large range of influences are morphed into this record showcasing a perfect blend of organic warm sounds, melancholic pads and electronic production.
