Marie Umuhoza (Nairobi, 1996) nourishes herself from her daily passions, arts and cultures.
With an ingenuous approach, she explores the different intersections of her personal experiences but also those that arise in the creation, reception and sharing of cultures. Immersed in the cultural and artistic landscape of Brussels, she is always curious about discoveries and experiences.
Coordinator and programmer of Decoratelier (Brussels) since 2020, she questions the different dynamics that can arise from intentional spaces. These spaces, both physical and mental, are precious learning grounds for her. In parallel with the programming and production of three summer festivals ("something when it doesn't rain" and "something else"), she is developing the project "spending the night with".
Always sensitive to themes related to care & community, she will propose, in collaboration with Eric Cyuzuzo, to highlight issues and (re)presentations related to community and network dynamics for the next edition of the Africa is/in the Future festival in autumn 2023 at La Bellone and other partner venues.
