Since their 2020 exclusive bandcamp only self-titled debut EP, LCY has rapidly emerged as a key new proponent of UK underground music and culture. A multi-disciplinary artist and label owner (SZNS7N), they are consistently supported by the likes of i-D Magazine, The Face, RA, FACT, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Electronic Beats and more. 2020 saw LCY in all the right places. Lending her talents to collaborate with a host of cutting edge labels and artists includingSicaria Sound’s Cutcrxss Recordings on the debut release and double sell out With The Fracture vinyl EP, a remix for the iconic DJ, producer and fellow Bristolian Krust’s recent album The Edge of Everything alongside Calibre and Four Tet on Crosstown Rebels, and with ‘Milan’ on the newly founded Sisters of Sound label’s compilation SOS Vol.1 along with Nightwave, rRoxymore, UMFANG and more.
2021 proved just as fruitful with LCY’s track ‘Almost Blue’ synced on GTA V Still Slipping and a collaboration with FILA UK for their new campaign. Continuing to carve out their space in the scene with their unique audio-visual storytelling identity and DIY creative
sensibilities, in the Spring LCY released Pulling Teeth - a 6-track concept EP that was almost two years in the making, taking inspiration from traditional Irish lore, fantasy soundtracks and the books of Mary Shelley to materialise their story which led to
support from Tom Ravenscroft, The Face, FACT, Pitchfork who scored it an incredible 7.2/10, Loud & Quiet, CRACK and more.
So far this year, LCY has been the BBC Radio 1 Resident for February alongside Goldie, has joined Richie Hawtin at Printworks for his ‘From Our Minds’ party and has launched their debut live show this year at Fabric at the Opera at the Colosseum with further shows at Primavera Sound, Dekmantel, Dimensions,, Outlook and more.
